T.E.A.M. begins with a personal evaluation of your yeshiva transcript — 72 yeshiva credits are applied automatically toward your degree, and depending on your pathway, as many as 90 credits can be transferred in total.
We also check whether you have any secular classes from previous learning that can count toward the remainder — many students find they need even less than they expected. Either way, you will know your exact standing before you enroll.
UMGC is a premium, regionally accredited university — part of the University System of Maryland, the same university system as the flagship University of Maryland. Founded in 1947, it has spent decades educating working adults and is one of the largest online universities in the country.
Its degrees are recognized and accepted by colleges and universities nationwide — for employment, and for admission to master's programs.
Courses are fully online and designed for adults who work. Each class follows a clear weekly rhythm: readings and learning materials, a class discussion where you post and respond to classmates, and assignments that are mostly projects and papers rather than high-pressure exams.
Everything lives in one online classroom, open day and night — you study when it suits you, as long as the week's work is in on time.
Most classes run just 8 weeks, and new sessions begin throughout the year. Short sessions mean you focus on one or two subjects at a time and make steady, visible progress — the finish line always feels close.
That is exactly who UMGC was built for. There are no fixed class times: students log in early in the morning, late at night, after the children are asleep, or around changing work shifts — whatever the week allows.
The program is built around your family, your work, and the frum calendar, with weekly deadlines that keep you moving without tying you to a classroom.
Students consistently describe the coursework as very manageable alongside a job and family — typically a few focused hours a week per class. It is genuine college coursework, and students who keep up with the weekly rhythm do well.
You are never on your own: instructors are accessible and responsive, and T.E.A.M. is with you personally at every step.
In most courses, no. UMGC has replaced traditional textbooks with digital learning materials built right into the online classroom — so there is no separate textbook bill waiting for you each session.
The remaining 30–33 credits are taken online at UMGC — as much as three-quarters of your 120-credit degree is already complete before you take a single class.
If any general-education requirements are still open, T.E.A.M. directs you through your options, including guided exam coursework — and any secular credits you already have are applied first, so you never repeat a class you have already passed.
Any time. Admissions are rolling and class sessions start throughout the year, so there is no waiting for a fall or spring semester. When you are ready, we match you to the next start date.
